A few days ago we were told that Trovit was selected as one of the 200 finalists for the Red Herring 100 Europe award, and today we can announce that Trovit has finally been selected as one of the 100 winners of the Red Herring 100 Europe, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year.

“This year’s impressive list of winners demonstrates Europe’s emergence as a major player in the global technology sector,” said Red Herring Editor-in-Chief, Joel Dreyfuss. “The exceptional accomplishments of European technology companies and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.”

Red Herring’s lists of top private companies are an important part of the company’s tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.

We have just launched Trovit in our seventh European country, the Netherlands. As in the rest of the countries where we are present, you can search for homes for rent and sale, jobs and cars for sale (or, as they say in Dutch, huizen, vacatures or Auto’s).

As usual when we launch a new country, we still don’t cover all the sources of ads we would like to, but we will have as many as we can as soon as possible. If you know any classifieds site in the Netherlands that you would like to see included in Trovit, just let us know.

Trovit is now present in eleven countries, seven in Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands) and four in Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile). We hope we can launch a few more countries in the following months.
